CORONAVIRUS: THE NEW RULES IF YOU HAVE BOOKED A TRIP OR A STAY

The containment measures put in place to combat the spread of the coronavirus have led to the cancellation of many stays.

New rules were therefore put in place on March 25th. They apply to cancellations of tourist stays, reservations at campsites, etc. made between March 1 and September 15, 2020, at the initiative of consumers and tourism professionals.

Cancellations made before March 1 benefit from the “classic” refund rules provided for in Article L. 211-14 of the Tourism Code.

During each cancellation motivated by the Covid-19 epidemic, tourism professionals will have to send you information within 30 days by e-mail or paper letter specifying that you benefit from a credit note. for 18 months. They then have 3 months from the date of cancellation to send you a service proposal which must be identical or equivalent to the first one.

In case of unavailability or if the price is not identical, you benefit from a voucher valid for 18 months, divisible (for one or more services with the professional) and refundable at the end of the period of validity.
